Maeve and Lilly

We got our tree the day after Thanksgiving as is our tradition. They girls were a bit giddy about unpacking all the boxes of Christmas stuff and squealed when they remembered all the Rankin & Bass movies on DVD we had stowed away. The girls have been exceptionally polite and kind to each other, though they deny it has anything to do with Christmas. They both wanted to buy presents for each other and for us, and in a show of good will offered some of their gently used toys for the daughter of a less-fortunate friend of mine. Best pals Sonja and Nora came over to make Christmas cookies and each day the pile of presents under the tree grows bigger. Several snow days over the last couple of weeks have heightened the holiday tension. Two days and counting…
